The site name is Bangko Bangko which is a unique site bordered on two sides by ocean, one side facing west and the other east, and is located on the far south-western tip of Lombok.
The west side of the site is a protected wide sandy bay that contains an access road for Desert Point, situated just offshore, which is the world famous surfing mecca. The southern beach facing Desert Point (not our site) is buzzing with surfers from mid-May to September and again in December. Otherwise, this piece of land is remote and peaceful. The island of Bali is clearly visible and Nusa Penida is only about an hour’s sail away. The east side of the site is a peaceful bay with an attractive and safe swimming beach. Just off to the southwest are thirteen small islands called the Southwest Gilis. Diving and snorkeling in the sea off the site offer a good cross section of what Indonesian diving has to offer. The reefs are full of bright corals and a variety of marine life including turtles. The site would appeal to anyone wishing to incorporate the unique natural features in their development.
